The Game of Poker is not just for Poker Professionals Anymore

The game of poker was a game available only in Las Vegas Casino Hotels or from video poker machines, but now it is more popular than ever in Las Vegas thanks to the TV.

The well-known Venetian Resort, is now betting on this popularity with its new audience-participation show called “The Real Deal!” in its showroom located in the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino, debuting in October.

The new game show will mix comedy and game show elements to entertain its live audience. The audience will also be able to participate in the great game of Texas Holdem’ alongside the best poker players in the world. There will be prizes for the audience including a chance to win 1$ million.

In “The Real Deal!” the audience will play with players like Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth and Daniel Negreanu. Around 10 of the world’s best poker players have already signed up for the game show. The audience will be able to play along with the 90 minute game thanks to handheld, wireless, touch screen devices located on each seat.

"People who come to Las Vegas, Nevada want to play poker,” Negreanu says, "but obviously they can't play in a top poker tournament with the players like Doyle or Phil Hellmuth. But, in this show, they actually can.” When the show begins, six audience members will be chosen to sit at the poker table on stage with two professional players. Each audience member is then involved in the action by being dealt a unique set of poker cards on their devices. Everyone in the showroom is then involved in the action with big-screen monitors located on stage.

The show’s creators say that you don’t have to be a poker player to join in the game. There are other ways to build your point total, that doesn’t involve the game of poker necessarily. Betting on the suit of the next poker card or trying to guess which state a particular audience member is from, are just some of the ways to come out a big poker winner in this game.

Creators of the show are also placing bets on the personalities of the pro poker stars to create some interesting moments. Someone like Scotty Nguyen, the flamboyant five-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, definitely has an idea how to entertain the crowd and should provide some memorable moments in this new idea for poker .

New Sushi Restaurant Draws Hollywood Elite

The world-famous Bellagio Hotel and Casino has just opened the Yellowtail Sushi Restaurant and Bar and invited some fashionable celebrities to taste their fare. This is the Light Group’s fifth restaurant and their first since they partnered with the Dubai-based Zabeel Investments in February.

The Las Legas restaurant invited icons including Leonardo DiCaprio, Eva Longoria, Charlie Sheen and his wife, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Wilmer Valderrama Michelle Rodriguez, Ryan Cabrera, Marlon Wayans, Shar Jackson, Rick Solomon, Brandon Davis, Playboy Playmate Destiny Davis, and Miss Nevada 2008 Veronica Grabwoski.

The celebrities were invited to taste the delicacies of Chef Akira Back, a former pro-snowboarder turned “Iron Chef America” contestant. The stars feasted on such specialties as Tai snapper, Kobe beef tataki , king crab tempura, rock shrimp, big-eye tuna pizza, the spicy tuna strawberry roll, and of course every type of sushi under the sun.
Paris dined on the beef tataki, ordering seconds and even thirds. Eva congratulated Chef Back while drinking non-alcoholic beverages and abstaining from the sushi. Wilmer enjoyed the delicacies of the famed chef and ordered table shots for his entourage.

The stars concluded the night by mingling on the hotel’s balcony that overlooks the iconic lake, while the Bellagio’s fountain show was enjoyed by all. A concealed balcony offers outdoor veranda seating and a panoramic panorama of Lake Bellagio and its fountain and light show. But the best visual luxury is the 25-by-13- foot bronze display at the lobby resembling the dorsal side of a Japanese amberjack.
